Job description
- Job Description The Program Director will be responsible for facilitating the development and execution of complex, multiyear program execution and sustainment for our customers
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and program management skills, and prior experience pursuing and leading similar work
- S/he should be adept at managing a team of program management professionals, providing guidance and direction to the Program Management department
The following describes the expectations:
- Responsible for management of key projects or for multiple, related projects / programs in the Business Unit s strategy
- Front ends with the Customer/Stakeholder on ALL aspects relating to the Program/s managed
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results within the constraints of schedule, budget, and resources
- Manages key customer programs along with P&L responsibility
- Drives Customer Centricity for both internal and external customers to provide excellent customer satisfaction and exceed customer expectations
- Leads and implements programs that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures
- Leads and manages the development of specific products through the various stages of the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life
- Plans the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones, and processes Supervise all program and project managers involved to provide feedback, assess performance, drive Kaizen, and resolve complex problems
- Apply change, risk and resource management principles when needed Ensure that program operations and activities are in adherence to legal guidelines and internal policies
- Keep senior management informed with detailed and accurate reports or presentations
Requirements and skills
- Overall experience of 14 + years with at least 8 + years in Program Management Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods Knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
- A business acumen with strategic ability and exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills Broad manufacturing knowledge (eg, materials, processes, test, quality logistics etc)
- Strong Supply Chain Management fundamentals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and Leadership Team
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- BE or equivalent
