Job Description for HANA ABAP Interface Technical Architect / Lead role (15+ Years)

Experience: 15+ years of full-time experience in SAP ABAP, out of which 6-8 years of full-time experience in HANA ABAP programming, Interfaces especially IDOCs, ODATA/API, along with SD/Logistics/MM process knowledge

Job Description:

Business Process / Functional knowledge:

• General business process and cross functional integration knowledge in SD, Logistics & MM modules

Technical – HANA Modeling & HANA ABAP

• Hands on development(mandatory) experience of RICEF objects in both HANA ABAP & Core ABAP -

1. Interfaces (mandatory):
2. Strong working experience in Interface techniques such as IDOC, BAPI/API, Outbound/Inbound Proxy, and Flat file Interfaces (handling files on Application Server and Presentation Server)
3. Expert in Designing and customizing of IDOC based Interfaces and IDOC enhancements.
4. Extensively worked on EDI IDOC (Inbound, Outbound, mapping with 3rd party logistics provider, message types, segment extension) and ALE (logical systems, ports, partner profiles)
5. Experience in data manipulation/mapping in IDOCs. Analysis and resolution of IDOC errors
6. Enhancements: BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits and Enhancement Spots (mandatory)
7. Proficiency in areas like Data Dictionary and Performance Tuning
8. Expertise in OO ABAP

• Hands-on knowledge in ODATA/API and CDS Views is mandatory.
• Hands-on development experience in different Views of HANA (Attribute & Analytical views). Creation of Calculation views from Analytical views.
• Performance Optimization techniques in SAP HANA
• Hierarchies, Measures and Joins in HANA ABAP
• Nice to have: Knowledge on S4 Hana (proxy, API, IDocs) centric integrations with SAP BTP/CPI
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Fiori
• Nice to have: IMCE Clients – ODBO, ODBC, JDBC, BICS, MS Excel 2010 Connection to HDB and to Create Universe through Information Design Tool using JDBC Connections

Development Standards/Development Process

• By using Project Standards and Processes, lead a team to prepare the technical design and develop applications. Ensure the quality of development according to specifications.
• Hands on expertise in determining and/or validating the development effort estimates.
• Assisting functional teams when necessary, in the testing efforts and preparing test data.
