As a Merchandising Analyst - will support strategic merchandising decisions by providing analytical support in areas of customer behavior/ insights as well as key merchandising metrics.
-Gather and analyze data using appropriate technical and analytical techniques.
-Become a proficient user of consumer/customer insights, pricing, and promotional tools.
-Develop and maintain knowledge of all internal and external (including but not limited to Nielsen) data that support customer analysis and decision making.
-Synthesize customer and retail data information, prepare and present comprehensive reports of findings, illustrating data graphically, and summarizing key insights.
-Work closely with the analyst team to design reports and analysis.
Essential / Technologies:
-Have knowledge on how to deal with the inherent structure of the data. Use SAS SQL, Excel / Excel Macros, and other tools to manipulate data and perform standard statistical analysis, profiling, and reporting to evaluate programs and understand trends.
-Interface with database tables, pull data from different sources (flat files, database tables), and link them logically.
-Experience working with customer and retail data.
