A PoC Engineer is a key tecnical expert who collaborate with CGBU staff members to build, test and support several technologies used by business unit. Responsibilities include analyzing process flows, consulting with clients, preparing design documents, taking part in project meetings, and supporting pre-sales staff. The person should demonstrate customer service skills, creativity, business analysis, strong communication abilities and must be excellent in maintaining good relationships. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies should be necessary to be able to talk with arguments in front of the customers.
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for specification, set-up and running running of Proof-of-concept / prototype (in lab environment) work on a range of CGBU 5G/4G/Session products and solutions in Onprem/public cloud /hybrid environment. Will deploy & manage Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines using various automation tools ie Terraform, Helm, etc Manage complex onprem or cloud CGBU PoC/Demos for customers across EMEA/JAPAC region. Perfom Interoperability testing (IoT) of Oracle products in multivendor lab environment Be a Subject Matter Expert on DevOps best practices, CI/CD and Configuration Management Works closely with Sales consultant members to analyze customer technical environments and to participate in strategic selling initiatives by providing high quality responses to technical needs and concerns. Develops relationships and instills confidence with customer’s technical management, as well as with customer R&D and Service Deployment engineering organizations. Provides vision/guidance to regional teams on technology requirements and trends to align product road maps with customers’ strategies.
Technical skills Certified in a public cloud technology (OCI, AWS, GCP or Azure) Knowledge of IP networking (LAN/WAN, SDN, routing, protocol) Good working knowledge of traditional networking - able to troubleshoot network issues, interpret packet captures and diagnose connectivity issues Knowledge of telco 2G/4G/5G core network Understand Microservices architecture Hands on experience deploying Docker/Podman containers into Kubernetes and the subsequent management of Kubernetes clusters. Strong hands-on experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible and other cloud provisioning & tooling. Experience with continuous integration tools and continuous delivery pipeline (e. g. Jenkins, Jfrog, Artifactory, Sonarcube, and Checkmarx) Experience with system monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Sensu, etc. Automation scripting skills (e.g. bash,PowerShell) Proficient in Python and Java. Knowledge of Linux OS. Experience deploying and managing MySQL DB ecosystem is a plus.
