Successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.What will you do? Participate in all phases of the product development from product definition to final releaseResponsible for coordinating the efforts of a team of product evaluation test engineers and scientistsCommunicate project status and issues to other functional teams, stakeholders and managementFacilitate in the removal of conflicts and roadblocks as they arise to ensure product evaluation team efficiency Responsible for testing software products and its documentationEvaluation and Acceptance of Requirements as CompletePass/Failure of Software Test CasesAuthor project documents and status reportsParticipate in project planning and progress trackingContribute to the delivery of the CMD software projects on-time and within budget.Other miscellaneous duties as assignedHow will you get here?MS in Chemistry/Bioinformatics or equivalentStrong experience in Automation testing, with main focus on automationExperience working with test automation frameworks and tools like Test CompleteStrong experience and knowledge in writing test cases, analyzing requirements, debugging, test coverage.Strong working experience with any of the scripting languages like Jscript, VB Script, C#, etcMinimum of 3+ years of laboratory experience using Thermo or competitor software or equivalent experience testing scientific software or experience with Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry applications.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesRequired:Excellent leadership and communication skillsMotivated, Driven, Autonomous work competencyDecision making for quality resultsProvide technical direction and feedbackAbility to work in a teamA thorough understanding of qualitative and quantitative analytical chemistryDemonstrated understanding in one or more of the major applications of Mass Spectrometry – Environmental, Food Safety, DMPK, Toxicology, Proteomics, MetabolomicsUnderstanding and ability to apply statistical mathematicsDemonstrated experience and knowledge of software test methodologiesDemonstrated technical\\scientific knowledge in Life Sciences using Mass Spectrometry or similar techniquesFamiliarity with entire software development process, in particular in an Agile environmentDemonstrated experience in using test management toolsExperience with defect tracking systemsDemonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and InvolvementPreferred::Familiarity with Quality System Regulation and FDA expectations for software and hardware validation is a plusDesired:Extensive experience with automated and other testing toolsProject Management experiencePh.D. in Chemistry or related sciencesAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 65,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
