What's the role? The RoleYou will join an agile team to drive development of geo-spatial processing, enrichment and transformation tools with the goal to source map content in a highly automated manner on a global scale. You will work closely with HERE’s Core Map data. For that you willDevelop new software products from the ground up and extend and maintaining them in an innovative and iteratively growing environmentImplement tools to enhance both automated and semi-automated map data processing, involving backend/service-based software stacks, but also dashboard components for data tracking and analysisApply and extend CI/CD tools and execute end-2-end ownership of your developed Software stack, including DevOps and testing aspectsWork closely with other full stack and frontend engineers on the team to de/-refine APIs and system integrationsWork with other engineering teams and internal customers to identify new opportunities, address critical needs, and tackle complex problems using your backend development expertiseBecome an authority at demonstrating internal platform resources and APIs Who are you? Must haveE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Geoinformatics 7+ years of software development experience, with 2+ year of experience in a Lead Engineer roleExcellent applied Java and/or Scala skillsExcellent DBMS & SQL skills, with a strong preference on PostgreSQL / PostGISStrong and applied AWS skills (EC2, S3, RDS,...), as well as experience with virtualization like DockerStrong experience in Web Service technologies (SOA, REST, JSON, XML are familiar)Strong skills in geo-spatial data (vector and raster) and – algorithmsFamiliar with geo-spatial-standards (e.g. Spatial Features Specification, GeoTIFF)Strong experience CI/CD tools, with a preference on JenkinsGood knowledge of using issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA), code collaboration tools (e.g. Git/GitLab) and team collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence/Wiki).Good knowledge of Linux/Unix – familiar with shell scriptingFamiliar with the OpenStreetMap tool stack (Overpass API, OSMOSIS, data editing tools, ...)Comfortable with working within a multi-team environmentExperience in working with distributed teamsStrong Presentation skills to demo and explain for technical and non-technical stakeholdersVery strong communication skills in English, both written and spokenNice to havePython skillsKibana/ESMachine Learning
