Summary This requirement is for Global Reconciliations operations team. A good understanding of securities markets, Reconciliations and related systems will be definitely preferred. The candidate is able to work through multiple or at times conflicting priorities with an eye for detail. Demonstrate quick learning abilities for any new reconciliation tasks/change in process quickly with minimum lead-time In addition to this, innovative thought process to provide tactical as well as strategic solutions is expected. Major Duties People Management:• Creates and fosters an inclusive environment where team members interact with trust, respect and a shared sense of purpose and collective impact • Builds a diverse team through recruiting, hiring and succession planning • Defines the team's purpose, prioritizes work and allocates resources to deliver on commitments • Shares organizational initiatives, goals and other relevant information with the team• Sets clear goals and expectations and holds self and employees accountable for achieving them • Provides employees with candid, timely feedback and coaching to help them understand what's working well and what can be improved • Supports employees in their individual career aspirations whether they involve movement to other roles or growing in their current one • Demonstrates a fair and equitable approach in recognizing, rewarding and developing each individual • Completes performance management and all other people-related processes in a timely manner• Technical experts without management responsibilities, seen as advisors to the business Business Goals:• Drive and execute project deliverables with utmost quality• Ability to handle, escalate and resolve queries in a timely manner• Builds a strong repository of Operations and Domain knowledge in the team• Active involvement in capturing process flows/updates and developing workflows based on requirement• Perform Root Cause Analysis of Errors and suggest controls• Conduct regular one to one meetings with team members and support their development needs Control / Compliance:• Ensures adequate controls are in place such that key daily deadlines are met.• Provides support in handling privacy or ASL situation by challenging the norms and introducing better control environment. • Maintains risk management and compliance programs and activities for their assigned group• Time management and prioritization of tasks and projects • Keeps abreast of the changing and evolving landscape within the business unit and the markets Knowledge / Skills • Excellent oral and written communication & presentation skills • Eye for detail with the ability to work through multiple priorities and demands • Sufficient knowledge of Cash and Stock reconciliation, Client reporting, Overdraft reporting and end to end activities including systems used• Has a good understanding of IOO, Custody & GF S business • Understands and can comprehend the risks associated and apply it within the in-scope projects • Strong accounting / financial services/ capital markets work experience or equivalent knowledge • Demonstrate through examples /evidence of strong operations knowledge including secondary review & controls, risks & mitigation • Demonstrate through examples /evidence day to day team management, mentor/coach team members and sharing feedback • Demonstrate through examples /evidence analytical ability, problem solving, and escalation of issues • Intermediate proficiency of MS Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint • Demonstrate through examples /evidence excellent written and verbal language skills, ability to independently address technical & non-technical issues, knowledge share / training sessions conducted , proactively troubleshoot and manage escalations, and work with global teams Experience A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience are preferred. Relevant Industry experience of greater than 6+ years and should be open to work in Shifts as applicable. Knowledge of Reconciliations and exposure in handling Projects would be added advantage.
