High Touch Engineer As part of the Cisco FTS organisation, you will be part of a dynamic, fast paced and supportive team that will build you up as you manage the technical support for some of Cisco's biggest customers. You will be given the opportunity to work alongside many of Cisco's Technical Service organisations and will receive unique insight into the IT services industry all the way from Pre-sales, Deployment and Day 2 support as an engineer focused on some of Cisco's key customers. The function of a High Touch Engineer (H.T.E.) Helps customers maximise network availability and functionality to achieve their business goals. The HTE delivers the technologies, solutions and services to customers in need to authoritatively handle their networks. In this role, you will be "Cisco's face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. Who You Are Develop and maintain technical and architecture leadership Maintain strong relationship with customer and other Cisco teams – TAC, Product House, Projects, Sales and Pre-Sales Understand customer technical and operating environment to provide quick and effective outcomes. Establish Technical Relationship to support customer operations. Possess, maintain and extend repository of detailed knowledge of customerâ€TMs infrastructure, topology, install base, critical sites, non-Cisco interconnections/dependencies, operating procedures and other information as required Customer-specific designated support to accurately diagnose, restore, resolve and debug complex problems Support for critical outages and sophisticated issues Maintain effective and proactive communications across Cisco, Customer and Partner eco-system. Proactively monitor and review the progress of all customer cases Effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on escalated or reoccurring issues (problems) Attend weekly/bi-weekly case review calls to drive resolution on reactive break/fix issues. Technical guidance/contribution to QBR and other customer direct engagements Independently or jointly work on Cisco or Customer lab to test solutions (where required) to provide suitable remediation Support on going or upcoming Projects at the customer location Attributes of a Successful Candidate Strong in Datacenter technology (DC/ACI/LAN/WAN) A creative, positive and proactive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new technologies, processes and procedures. Desire and effective aim to become the specialist of the customer's technologies and new upcoming trends. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured, multi-functional, cross country, territory and theatre environment. Demonstrate high-level of maturity and confidentiality. Possess strong presentation and communications skills Ability to multi-task and also work across time zones and across the day to support the customer for any critical outages Skills & Requirements BA/BS qualified (favourable - IT, Comp Science, Electrical Engineering). Cisco certifications are preferred (CCIE etc). You've been working for 10+ years since graduating with your latest degree.
