The Role We are looking for a dedicated Category Manager for Technical Services, part of the Global Procurement Organization. The specific characteristic of Technical Services is mainly the interface to SAP’s customers and respective projects (customer facing). Such services include the engagement of third-party resources used in customer implementation projects of SAP products or industry solutions, such as proofs of concept, analysis, concept design, assessments, implementation, model company and safeguarding, product training, custom development, presales and support services. The Category Buyer for Technical Services will support the respective regional Category Manager and the implementation of the regional category strategy. Besides procurement-related tasks, you will be responsible for stakeholder management including demand management at regional level, acting as procurement leader and trusted business partner for all dedicated stakeholders in the region. This includes monitoring market trends and alignment on regional needs and business requirements to ensure, that the procurement strategy perfectly fits to key go-to-market areas. You will be responsible for supplier management and sourcing strategies as well as strategic sourcing events. You will look for opportunities for improvements, innovations, and savings and perform market analysis and benchmarking to gain market intelligence. Role Requirements We are looking for people with solid stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills who can establish clear priorities and manage multiple demands in a virtual, international environment. You will have experience in a fast-paced team within a multinational complex business environment, ideally with a services technologies background. This experience will include the ability to collaborate and crystalize business requirements and to translate them into actionable procurement activity.
