Description:The opportunity: The position will report to the Network Manager for Commercial Operations. The departmental objectives are to design, build and support the network infrastructure in the commercial production environment. The network devices consist of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. The engineer will follow processes and standards. The responsibility consists of working as an individual or team to implement and coordinate highly complex network deployments. This position is focused on firewall/security specialists with a good understanding and knowledge of the whole networking technologies (routing, switching, load balancing, etc.). You are great at: Provide expert-level network design, understand all aspects and best practices for enterprise data center infrastructure. Work diligently to meet project and business timelines for the design and deployment of network infrastructure. Work to provide the best solutions for connectivity between data centers and clients. Provide day-to-day support of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers utilized by Network Operations, with a focus on firewall technologies, deployment, upgrades, migrations, and support. Plan and recommend a design that could improve the existing network environment. Provide analysis of network capacity and health. Implement networking best practices and standards throughout the infrastructure. Creating documentation (to include Visio diagrams) and communications are essential. Participate and provide feedback on the day-to-day Network Operations. Participate in support through the ticketing system. Escalate critical issues to the manager promptly. Coordinate technical implementation with partners from the business. Plan and implement monitoring, limitations by resource and users/departments. Completed Bachelor’s degree education from a recognized University and a passion for continuous learning. 7 + or more years of experience in the industry. Firewall / Security skillset: Checkpoint Multi-Domain R80.30 (Provider-1) environment, upgrades / migrations from R77.x to R80.30 GAIA, migrations from other vendors to CheckPoint, Maestro Hyperscale deployments, CheckPoint VSX deployments, Fortigate firewalls, including transparent mode deployment, Juniper (NetScreen and SRX firewalls), Palo Alto and Cisco ASAs. Public Cloud knowledge: working experience in networking on public cloud environments (AWS, GCP and Azure), including management of native components and also deployment of a networking architecture on the cloud. Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills. Usage of Wireshark. Automation skillset: Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible , including ansible core and ansible tower, development of scripts, playbooks and workflows, usage of Rest API, and programming languages such as python, github, yaml. Tools skillset: Experience in the usage of network tools such as AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer (AFA), Scrutinizer for netflow, NetBrain network automation software and HP NNMI Nice to have: DC environment working experience (Nexus 5K, 7K, 9K, Spine and Leaf). Exposure to Cisco knowledge (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE/IPSEC) and F5 Load Balancers experience (LTM + GTM/DNS, irules).
