As a Clinical Support Manager, you will be responsible for working with Education Managers to co-ordinate education operations activities for the learning academy in support of capability development for One Medical and the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework.

  • Lead the ongoing development and refinement of the anonymisation process, proactively identifying risks and ensuring that the anonymisation approach is as efficient as possible whilst maintaining quality, minimizing costs and mitigating any potential risks
  • Lead the development, maintenance and provision of support for standard tools to support the anonymisation process to both internal GSK staff and external service providers
  • Lead the anonymisations of complex study designs and QC anonymisations completed by internal and external staff, ensuring that the anonymisation tools have been applied correctly and all the nuances of the studies have been taken into account
  • Carry out the verification of clinical study data prior to anonymisation to ensure that the correct data is provided to the research teams and provide any necessary supporting documentation to facilitate data reuse
  • Provide extensive technical knowledge, expertise and training to internal and external teams
  • Partner with the Data Sharing Team to ensure that all external research teams have the support and documentation available to them to make the most of the clinical data that has been provided
  • Act as the single point of contact for all support questions raised by external researchers on GSK clinical data provided through the SHARE initiative, liaising with the statistics and programming functions within R&D, and escalating as required to the Director, Data Sharing and Disclosure and/or Director, Data and Document Anonymisation
  • Continuously review and improve the data verification process and supporting documentation to minimise the number of data related queries raised by providing the appropriate reuse documentation alongside the data.
  • Work with the Data Access System Vendor and drive all Access System support issues raised by the researchers to resolution, ensuring that an efficient and robust support model is in place to meet the needs of the researcher
  • Provide technical support to the Data Sharing Team and act as the voice of the researcher on the use of the current Access System and any proposed changes to it, ensuring that it is fit for purpose and that all issues/enhancement requests are escalated to the Director, Data Sharing and Disclosure and are logged in the vendor’s support system and track progress through to resolution.
  • Why you?

    We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • At least 6 years of experience in anonymisation, data verification and other analysis activities related to data use and sharing of data
  • Experience in managing clinical trial (study, data, or system/technology) activities.
  • Good understanding of clinical trial lifecycle, clinical trial metadata [i.e. information about the trials], clinical trial data [i.e. observed data collected as part of the trial], clinical documents.
  • Knowledge of R&D and the clinical development process
  • In depth understanding of Base SAS, SAS Macro, Data Domains and Standards such as CDSIC
  • Experience in working with large information bases and combining information from these sources
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and assist with priority setting as required
  • Proven ability to clearly convey information orally and in writing (technical documentation, presentations to business stakeholders, etc.) to audiences with varied and sometimes limited technical knowledge
  • Experience working in large, diverse team environment with changing priorities
