Product Control in the wider market outside of BNP is Middle Office. Product Control consists of streams like Documentation & Reconciliation, Trade Support, P&L & Trading Portfolio & controls. Product Control teams are in regular contact with Market Front Office, Regional Back Officeâ€TMs and Regional Finance & other support teams for their BAUâ€TM Job Title: Product Control : Trade Support Pricing Team Date: November 26 th, 2020 Department: ISPL Operations Product Control Location: Mumbai Business Line / Function: Product control Trade Support (Global Markets) Reports to: (Direct) Head of Trade Support Global Prime Finance Grade: (if applicable) NA (Functional) Number of Direct Reports: NA Directorship / Registration: NA Position Purpose à ̃The role requires a strong understanding of the underlying products and an ability to liaise with all areas of the business including Sales, Trading, Middle Office, Risk and the clients to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Responsibilities Detailed description of the role: à ̃Key accountabilities Ã1⁄4Ensure all prices are updated and checks are performed per required due diligence on data quality and completed within agreed timeline. Ã1⁄4Understanding of different pricing sources like Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit etc. Ã1⁄4Awareness of different corporate action events and its impact on pricing. Ã1⁄4Timely escalation of batch fails, Investigation and resolution of any discrepancy, involving interaction with various internal areas (Front Office, Legal, Credit Risk Management and Operations) Ã1⁄4Resolving breaks with vendor sources/ Risks. Ã1⁄4UAT testing Ã1⁄4Strong analytical skills required to perform complex analysis on the volumes and process flow to identify the root cause. Ã1⁄4Suggest innovative solutions to improve efficiency and provide the AVP with a detailed breakdown to quantify the time/ headcount savings from the initiative. Ã1⁄4Basic knowledge of capital market, and investment banking. Ã1⁄4Basic knowledge of different economic factors impacting price calculation. Ã1⁄4Knowledge of different market instruments and their method of pricing.
