Description:The ideal HGBU Application Functional Services (AFS) resource will support projects affecting customers by providing support services and executing environment/application wide projects.The role will support project teams by providing key organizational support for OCI/SSD migrations. The ideal candidate will have experience with SSD features and functionality and successfully migrated users onto this platform previously. Primarily support processes to deliver Cloud Projects in a timely fashion including progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, escalation handling and training and on-time delivery within budget constraints. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Primary Skills Previous experience in hospitality software products. A good understanding of OPERA V5 and OPERA Cloud and its application services is preferred. Experience supporting, installing and configuring OPERA PMS and S&C Opera Cloud, OEDS, HTNG, OXI and IFC8 knowledge is highly beneficial Knowledge of hotel management procedures desirable Good understanding of Oracle Database (11g and 12c), SQL and Remote Connectivity Applications Be familiar with and adhere to the latest training and installation standards and procedures Basic working knowledge of Networks, PCs and troubleshooting installation issues Professional Skills English fluently spoken and written is required. A 2nd language is desirable Excellent analytical problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Abilities to work effectively with the client at all levels of the organization Proven ability to work unsupervised or as a team member in wider company teams A self-starter with initiative, drive and strong desire to succeed Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to work on a monthly rotational shift Experience Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization 3 - 5 years of experience in IT or hospitality technology preferred. Provide support to internal users of Oracle Applications and legacy applications and ensure maximum efficiency in the use of those applications. Respond to requests for support by users. Train users on features of applications. Maintain applications responsibilities based on work group of user. Act as reporting resource. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2-4 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
