Department Profile Global Banking Technology (GBT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm?s WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Private Banking Group (PBG), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing cash management and lending products and services to our WM clients. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities based loans and tailored lending. Position Description * Provide critical support for deposit applications * Work closely with the application Development team to understand the platform and create tools/utilities to help with production management * Investigate and resolve end-user issues relating to the applications * Taking proactive initiatives to Identify areas of improvement, stabilize and improve the plant * Troubleshooting infrastructure issues, reviewing log files, updating documentation, and having knowledge base with resolutions * Working with upstream data providers and upstream consumers, and reducing the amount of escalation to development teams * Taking ownership and managing production requests, questions, issues * Work closely with Application Development to ensure that the support team has excellent knowledge of the application set own and maintain support knowledgebase and documents * Perform Root Cause Analysis for outages/incidents * Professional ownership of production problem, related incidents and end user requests * Perform post incident analysis * Understand the overall business flow of supported application systems and its interface with clients * Effectively provide updates on the issues * Incident management for application issues * Act as an escalation point to level 3 support * Be flexible to provide weekend on call rotation and available for offshore time lead * Within the Application Support space, to be accountable for the Production Environments as well as the non-Production Environments for the existing GBT team and be part of 24/7 production support coverage. * Professional must have strong technical and troubleshooting skill * Proactive & reactive ready-for-business checks Qualifications Responsibilities & Required Skills * 5 - 8 years of experience. * Strong problem solving skills. * Requires experience in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions, or significant experience in deep technical support * Must possess RDBMS skills in databases such as DB2, Sybase, or Oracle * Requires experience with Unix scripting, Unix command line * Requires experience with Autosys or other batch scheduling software * Knowledge and hands-on experience on Splunk and web service calls using Java * Hands-on experience in application and database troubleshooting/issue resolution in a fast paced environment * Should have experience working with Message Queues * Strong Communication skills * Should have the ability to think out of the box for process improvements and short cuts, automation, scope for optimizations etc Desired skills * Experience in the Financial Industry * Experience in monitoring tools like Splunk, Extra Hop, Sockeye, SOAP UI, Jira, Stash, Git is an added advantage. * Knowledge in programming languages like Python, Java, C# * Experience in Window Deploy and Team City is an added advantage.
