Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information hard copy, web - (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and/or sets-up, loads and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Develops standards and style documents and templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure common look and feel. Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a member of the product development team, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing. Education and Experience Required Typically a First Level University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of 2-4 years related experience or an Advanced University degree and up to 2 years related experience or equivalent. Understand software and hardware technology area concepts and develops working knowledge of products/processes, applications and systems in assigned area of responsibility such as authoring tools and source management. Ability to operate in multiple disciplines (multi-platform products). Responsibilities Use-case identification Understand the requirement and formulate customer use cases that can be documented. Process adherence and Deliverable ownership Make sure to follow the required development process at all stages and deliver on the committed time. Take the responsibility to develop high quality product documentation. Customer support Analyze customer comments and requests and provide them updated content in a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis to identify and own the improvement areas. Technical expertise Develop good knowledge about the domain, overall product, deployment scenarios. Keep up-to date with technologies and content creation and publishing tools. Behavioral Competencies required Dynamic, confident with hands on, can- do approach.
