Business unit: Customer Solutions Enablement (CSE) Job Grade: E11 Hiring Manager: Lorna Keane System Applications Modelling Engineer The newly formed Digital Platform team requires a System Applications Modelling Engineer. In this role you will work across product development teams, applications and software groups and directly with customers, to drive a roadmap of models for both digital and mixed signal devices and signal chains. The modeling effort is to understand the customer applications and create high-level models to match the behavior of both applicable devices and signal chains. This role also includes working with 3rd party and open source partners to create a rich model portfolio and new customer experiences. Applicants must thrive in a team setting and be able to work across the organization to be successful. This position is highly customer-focused and includes direct interaction with existing and potential customers across varied markets and applications. Hands-on role & execution focused. Qualified applicants will approach the position from a system applications view, be familiar with industry-standard model and simulation tools and have demonstrated experience with modelling tools. A good working knowledge of the IC design flow is also very beneficial. Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions. Responsibilities: Develop system-level product and application-level mixed-signal models Determine operational feasibility by analysis of problem-statement, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutions Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, model creation guidelines Collaborate with team to brainstorm and create new, innovative modeling approaches Work collaboratively with others to achieve goals Be a persistent, creative problem ­solver Passionate about great technologies, especially open source Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study 5+ years of experience as an electrical or electronics engineer Working knowledge of Simulation and Modelling tools Experience working in an agile environment Good communication skills Experience with professional engineering best practices for the full product development life cycle Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
