Description:Role Highlights • Strong techno functional resource with 8-10 years’ experience working for mid and large customer engagements for Support and Maintenance projects • The Shift manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operational support of Oracle products hosted in Oracle cloud infrastructure that support all business process across the customer projects • Being the Point of Contact for internal and customer questions during the shift • Ability to work in shifts in a 24x7 and night shift for long term (Mandatory) • This individual will have a diversified background of cloud technical experience, ITIL project management acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills. This individual is responsible for operational service management processes to ensure quality, efficiency, productivity and agility goals are achieved. • Excellent written and verbal skills are essential • Strong consulting skills to work in a professional manner with customer IT and business users Responsibilities • Carry out day to day DBA activities in a support env. • Supervise day-to-day operations of the 24x7 support team • Accurately prioritizing incident, request and problem cases in real time based on existing SLA definitions • Effectively managing crisis scenarios (ex: service interruptions, urgent production bugs, escalation requests) • Effectively leveraging team members to meet SLAs in times of higher ticket volumes to minimize missed support opportunities • Being the technical and Project lead ensure that established processes and procedures are followed • Promoting effective communication between team members • Being the Point of Contact for internal and customer questions during the shift • Working high priority cases and reviewing escalated cases to ensure no high priority cases were missed • Works with customer operations teams to ensure good coordination of IT changes without impacting business processes. • Define, document, agree, monitor, measure, report and review the level of IT services provided • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction with the quality of service delivered • Monitor service performance against SLAs • Ensure that proactive measures to improve the levels of service delivered are implemented wherever it is cost-justifiable to do so • Review and revise underpinning agreements and service scope • Produce service reports • Conduct service reviews and instigate improvements within an overall Service Improvement Plan • Supports the sourcing strategy, and provides oversight for IT vendors relationship management. Technical Skills • Madatory cloud certification in one of OCI, AWS, GCP or Azure • Excellent knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and architecture of solutions on the cloud • Hands-on experience on any cloud platform Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS, Google • Hands-on experience in database migration, cloning, and upgrades • Multitenancy (CDB) Concepts. ExaData knowledge is a definite plus. • Installation, Configuration of 12c CDB/PDB. • DB system provisioning on the cloud • Performance Tuning • PDB Cloning • TDE Concept and troubleshooting • PSU / OJVM patching • Backup and Recovery of Multitenancy database • Troubleshooting and performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, OEM SQL Analyzer • Database upgrade 11g to 12c (CDB/PDB) • DG configuration for 12c (Multitenancy) • Database Service name configuration and troubleshooting • RAC architecture concepts and hands-on • Conversion of Non-CDB to PDB/CDB • Troubleshooting and conceptual knowledge of 12c CDB/PDB • OEM Installation and implementation • Migration and cloning for Cross-platform using different approach • Shell scripts/Linux/Unix shell scripts, cronjobs and SQL scripts • Oracle ExaCC/ExaCS Patching and maintenance of grid infrastructure and database • Good understanding of Golden Gate replication tool • OEMDBA desired skills CI/, Virtual Cloud Networks, subnets, security list Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment. Engages with strategic customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions. Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers, and at conferences, and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a leading contributor for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Leading contributor, may provide direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. May interact with C level. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies. Minimum qualifications include: 8 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 50% international and domestic. Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 8 years technical experience. Advanced degree in relevant field of studies highly desirable. Expertise in and an in depth and thorough knowledge of competitive and industry knowledge in the field of computer applications and tools; System and application design; Implementation of advanced product features; Project management; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification. 8 years experience and expertise in the clear communication of technical information to others through presentations, demonstrations, written communication and consultative solutioning experience.
