The Digital Analytics Tagging Specialist is a key role on the Digital Experience and Client Journeys team that will impact the pace and success of our North American digital strategy. This role will be responsible for translating business needs into effective digital analytics tagging specifications that provide metrics for analytic solutions across various digital channels. The ideal candidate must possess strong digital or eCommerce knowledge and will help enable a data-driven culture. This individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrives on results-oriented delivery. They will work with cross functional team members, leveraging smart data to drive key business initiatives in a B2B industry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive the digital analytic tag development process, supporting the digital analytics platform, determining priorities, expanding the tagging structure and managing impacts to the analyst reporting Partner with Marketing, Digital and Analytical teams to develop and implement site wide tagging strategies leveraging analytical platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc. Actively monitor and adjust site tags as necessary to meet KPIs and business needs Audit the digital tags and publish the results on a regular basis in order to ensure that digital tag requests are executed accurately and efficiently, maintaining data integrity Monitor uptime of analytics platforms as well as provide direct, responsive support for availability incidents and other urgent analytic, development or operational needs Participate in analytics architecture and software development activities Design and create standards for data collection across multiple front-end and mobile technology platforms Translate loosely defined requirements into solutions Support performance measurement tools by working closely with Marketing to enable performance data sets (sales, units, customers, baskets, orders, trends, behavioral flows, UX metrics, other key KPIs, etc.) to drive online adoption and customer conversion Able to work in an agile, fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities Serves as a leading member on data collection projects, collaborating across functions to meet project goals Maintain an attitude of continuous learning and stay informed on emerging digital and analytics practices and technologies REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in technical or quantitative discipline like mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field 3+ years’ experience working with an enterprise web analytics platform including data taxonomy design 3+ years’ experience working with technology and user experience teams Working knowledge of eCommerce basics, traffic & conversion drivers, search optimization, pricing elasticity and the consumer’s path to purchase journey Proficiency with solution design, tag implementation, tool integration, testing and optimization Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, REGEX and debugging tools, tag management and Web protocols across desktop, mobile web and mobile applications Experience using Tag Management software like Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Tealium, etc. Exposure to tools for Web/Mobile Analytics, A/B Testing, Tableau, SQL etc. will be a plus. Understanding of both Google and Adobe Analytics platforms Proven experience to work in a fast-moving, fluid environment with the ability to seek clarification, define priority and drive focus of execution Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in a large organization Excellent communication and presentation skills to work with people at all levels Can work effectively with remote teams ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent project management, organization, time management, attention to detail and communication skills Strong analytical abilities to identify issues & self-start programs to address Self-motivated and capable of delivering results with minimal supervision Timeline & detail oriented Demonstrated ability to champion change, influence & drive results in a complex organization A mind toward innovation in an organization that enables team to innovate, drive change, and bring revenue to the organization.
