    • Responsibilities and Duties

    Requirements

  • Capacity Planning
  • Creation and Configuration of DB
  • Daily check list and monitoring
  • Ensure high uptime
  • Ensure that no SQL Server job has failed.
  • Perform the necessary backups, whether transactional or complete.
  • Check the general health of the server (space, CPU utilization, memory)
  • Track locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, and lock timeouts.
  • Remove any unwanted space from the transaction log and data files.
  • Perform any necessary index tuning, including defragmenting the indexes.
  • Gather Statistics if Auto gathering is turned off
  • Applying suitable patches whenever it's needed
  • Check the health of the DB by running DBCC CHECKDB.
  • Make necessary changes based on application team requirement.
  • Implement best practices
  • Hardening of DB
  • Prepare SOP
    • Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience: 2 - 3 years in MS SQL DBA( Required )
  • Graduation: Any Degree( Required )
  • Proficient in English( Required )
