Job Description Job Description:This position is based in Bangalore, India, reporting to the Manager, Finance Systems and Solutions, in Bangalore, India.The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical, business and people skills to play a key role as subject matter expert and technical consultant throughout the project life cycle of their assigned applications. The Analyst will be heavily involved in planning and implementation of various systems.Participate in and/or lead requirements gathering sessions for new system requirements or enhancements to existing systems for Finance applications, specifically Workday for Global Payroll implementation (Payroll), HelpNow (IT ticketing and tracking systems) and/or other ERPs like SAP HR etc.; drive stakeholder groups through system design decision making process.Develop high quality documentation throughout the duration of projects, including capturing design decisions, system configuration, processes/workflow, data extracts and interface requirements, etc.Develop and support end to end testing strategies, partner with IT on all SDLC processes, coordinate testing efforts with the business users (during UAT), monitoring test execution, and providing metrics for testing to upper management.Design and document any training material or user guides for systems implementation projects.Participate in data extraction/conversion exercises with the business stakeholders for projects involving a change in the current application/vendor.Recommend internal processes and audit procedures to ensure Finance SOX controls compliance and data integrity of systems post go-live.Provide backup support on current Finance systems and cross train with team members in the BTA Finance team. Be able to troubleshoot issues with the business and partner with other cross-functional teams. Partner with IT to apply fixes, patches to the system; also create any enhancement requests, have them prioritized by the business and with IT and see these through the IT process into completion.Attend and participate in team/staff/project meetings as scheduled and assigned.May be required to work across time zones with cross functional teams based on the global distribution of VMware’s workforce.Skills:B.S. degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related area. Accounting background is a plus.7-8 years’ experience implementing and supporting large ERP systems like SAP or SaaS solutions like Workday, Success Factors, is required – knowledge of the overall architecture, integration support and implementation experience is required.5-6 years of experience required in the areas of HR and Finance – Particularly Payroll systems and Compensation areas is required. WD certification in any module/area is an added advantage.Seeking individuals who have experience in configuration of rules and rule sets in SaaS applications.Knowledge/experience with some of the following: SAP ECC and financials, Advanced Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Power Point.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills a must – able to think through issues, and provide workable solutions, which are thought out end to end.Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently to be able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Must be very comfortable working on major projects involving cross functional teams across the globe and in engaging business stakeholders and internal IT and HR partners, as well as with vendors and external project teams.Must have a positive, and energetic attitude and a strong desire to provide excellence in stakeholder engagement, and in change management activities.Category : Client SupportSubcategory: Customer SupportExperience: Manager and ProfessionalFull Time/ Part Time: Full TimePosted Date: 2021-03-11
