Description:More information can be found at The Challenge The lead solution engineer is responsible for delivering services and platforms in Operations domain towards to the Business Groups and Service Units. He/she ensures that all relevant components of a service contribute to a stable, reliable and performing total service towards that matches the demand, drives continuous improvement, and makes sure that customer satisfaction is always at the highest possible level. He/she also ensures reliable (first-time-right) transition of future developments delivered by other IT departments and suppliers into GbS TS organization. This lead solution engineer needs to focus on managed operations. The Position As a lead solution engineer, you orchestrate the service delivery with the different service deliver managers, architectures, engineers, vendors and services owners across the application domains, infrastructure and workplace landscape. The delivered service should be in line with best practices and the future transformational mindset as well as automation and digital solutions of industry 4.0. This position reports into the service owner of Operations domain. The key responsibilities in this position Accountable for the overall performance, monitoring and managing of the services of his/her domain; Leading of service delivery assessments, influencing on vendor and contract management negotiation, Coordinating functional and technical maintenance tasks, performing active role on service management and audit processes; Ensures that all relevant components of a service contribute to a stable, reliable and performing total service towards the business that matches the demand; Responsible for making agreements with customers on Service Level Agreements and to determine the service fees for charging towards the business; Responsible for the alignment with customers about future demand and new developments (Change Control Board); Responsible for complaint handling for his/her services; Accountable for demand management towards the Service Lines (Foundation, Hosting, TAM, FAM, Workplace & Service desk) and Service Delivery Managers, and the translation of this demand into requirements for applicable OLAs; Responsible for managing reliable (first-time-right) transition of future developments delivered by other GIS departments and IT Suppliers into GbS TS; Responsible for continuous improvement of the delivered services; Communicates with internal business departments, project directors and project owners for relevant activities; Escalation point for critical incidents and responsible to take decisions in order to mitigate business continuity risks or restore services; Accountable for setting up, safeguarding integrity and maintaining integrated global application platforms for the domain. The Ideal Master degree in Computer Engineering or Applied Computer Sciences or Business and/or equivalent. Strong knowledge about SAP fundamentals, tools and solutions (SAP ECC, eWM, BW, APO, IBP, Solution Manager, etc). Desirable knowledge about S4HANNA, Plant Maintenance solutions (PP, Maximo, ShiftConnector, etc), automation platforms (Prisma, Ignio, etc) and RPA/Artificial Intelligence. Good concept and enterprise vision about ISA-95 and its solution layers, mainly level 2 and 3. Desirable knowledge about Wonderware, Aspentech, Emmerson, PCS/Bhuler and other shop floor-related systems. Experienced internal audit processes, procedures and service management. Excellent network builder in multi-national business organization. Strong (conceptual level) professional in complex application domains and related business processes.
