Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:Design and develop business intelligence products in Tableau – and possibly other best-in-class BI tools to be determined – to provide key insights, enable smart decision-making across the Collections and Recovery organization, and help leaders effectively manage and optimize the business.Essential Responsibilities:Engage other staff and attend meetings with stakeholders to understand business challenges and needs that can be resolved by the delivery of reports and other BI products, especially with the use of data visualization; proactively propose other solutions to further enable the Collections and Recovery organization as you learn the business and identify gaps and opportunitiesInteract with staff and stakeholders to build and prototype reports and dashboards; query data from multiple data sources, including but not limited to Oracle and SQL, to produce compelling BI products that enable and change how the business operatesApply best practices around data visualization and a keen knowledge of the same; apply complex calculations as necessaryReverse engineer legacy reports and migrate the same to Tableau, if necessaryWork closely with other technical resources to provide technical design recommendations on data mart structures and other back-end requirements supporting analytical applicationsExplain to technical and non-technical people with equal effectiveness the design considerations and other challenges that, collectively, were inputs into development processesDemonstrate finished BI products to users in a clear and compelling fashion so as to enable high utilizationStay current with enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their useTest, troubleshoot, support, and fix BI products in development or in productionTrain other Hyderabad staff in the best practices of Tableau and data visualization, when necessaryPerform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in any disciplineMinimum of 5+ years of experience in business intelligenceMinimum 5+ years of experience with BI applications, especially Tableau (2+ years – recent versions up to and including 2020.1.7); other BI tools and technologies, query and reporting, online analytical processing, statistical analysis, forecasting, data mining, and data visualization3+ years of experience with tools, facilities, and techniques for managing and administering data3+ years of SQL experience, Toad, and other data extraction tools3+ years with Microsoft OfficeFor Internal Applicants: Understand the criteria or mandatory skills required for the role, before applying.Inform your Manager or HRM before applying for any role on Workday.Ensure that your Professional Profile is updated (fields such as Education, Prior experience, Other skills) and it is mandatory to upload your updated resume (Word or PDF format)Must not be any corrective action plan (First Formal/Final Formal, PIP)Employees who have completed 18 months in the organization and 12 months in current role and level are only eligible.For Level 9 - Existing Level 8 and Level 9 are only eligible to applyDesired Characteristics:Ability to propose alternative data options; recommend, drive, and implement the most efficient solutionsBest practices around self-service BI, push and pull solutions, data visualizationsExcellent communication and collaboration skills; must be able to work with and communicate across many functional organizations and levels, technical and non-technicalPrevious experience with SASPrevious experience with SAP Business Objects (Webi Intelligence and Crystal)Previous experience with large amounts of data and big data technology stackPrevious experience with Sharepoint, JIRA, R, and/or PythonPrevious experience with Agile developmentPrevious experience in retail finance or financial servicesGrade/Level: 09Job Family Group:Collections
