Modern Work Practice
The Modern Work Practice within Microsoft Services helps customers maximize their investment in Microsoft 365 solutions and helps customers in providing productivity solutions on full portfolio of M365 products (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Yammer) to help them get work done in a faster, better and predictable way through accelerated implementation and adoption. The Consultant Role
The Consultant in Enterprise Services delivers technical solutions to customers allowing them to maximize their investment in Microsoft technology. Building upon solid IT project experience relative to their level, these consultants will work with Microsoft's partners to assist customers in the delivery of high-quality engagements around Microsoft's solution areas, technologies, services and products in diverse client environments. The Consultant will also help assist customers in stabilizing developed solutions using Microsoft methodologies in complex customer environments, in the design and development of integrated solutions using the latest Microsoft products, services and technologies and understanding the relevant application development, infrastructure and operations implications of the developed solution.
Assist with the identification, pursuit and closure of strategic business development activities
Drive client workshops to demonstrate product capabilities and gather customer requirements.
Analyze requirements and design technical solutions to meet business goals, objectives and functional/non-functional requirements in alignment with architectural standards.
Assist in identifying and creatively solving complex customer problems, envisioning and enabling critical processes, and fundamentally helping the customer to achieve their objectives.
Support development of test scenarios/scripts and coordinate client testing of developed solutions.
Develop appropriate requirements, design (HLD and LLD), testing and deployment documentation to support the solution delivery on large complex projects.
Hands-on expertise in implementing, consolidating, migrating (cross platform) large complex environments.
They need to have current and deep experience with the implementation of large complex projects and understanding of competitor technologies.
They need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Contribute the best practices, lessons learned and IP from projects to the global community with a focus on continuous improvement.
Foster senior level client relationships and engage with senior level client stakeholders to gather requirements, develop plans and drive solution success.
Work with other team members and leaders, proactively identify and mitigate/resolve risks and issues.
Mentor other staff members.
To be effective, the Senior Consultant requires a proven successful background in managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to successful completion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual to be resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both expectation management and crisis management. Senior Consultants are expected to deliver effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes and possess excellent communication skills. They will architect solutions by mapping customer business productivity needs to appropriate solutions. They will work very closely with Project Managers and Architects to ensure successful bids and pursuits. They support the achievement of several performance scorecards and key performance indicators directly or through collaboration with other roles in Services and Sales.
12+ years of overall IT experience with .NET framework and SharePoint
Hands on experience with M365, SharePoint, Azure and Office customizations including in C# development, .NET Core, React, Angular, SPFx webparts, PowerShell and Azure developments like Web jobs, REST based Web API, Azure Functions, Azure SQL.
Experience with building Teams Apps, Bots, Azure DevOps is a plus.
Experience of working on Agile projects.
Proven track record in business domain & technical conversations
Proven experience in presales
Proven track record delivering complex projects end to end.
Application Architectures including the use of cloud-based technology capabilities such as Teams, SPO, Azure, Application Life Cycle Management and Application Platform processes and technology.
Overall technical responsibility for Project Delivery, assisting Project Manager to minimize project risks and resolve project Issues.
Scope development and management
Create and Review Technical Designs based on business requirements.
Troubleshoot and debugging technical issues in a variety of application environments.
Oversee deliverables from partners, subcontractors, and MS resources.
Lead daily Agile SCRUM meetings
Engage with CXO’s to deliver workshops and /or POCs.
Contribute to Microsoft internal reporting, work orders and amendments.
Develop Technical Quality plan standards and test procedures.
Facilitate peer reviews.
IP Reuse and IP creation
Drive operational excellence and innovation, leveraging new ideas contributing to increasing Microsoft value to customers.
Fluent in English, verbal, and written communications skills.
Must have a degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience with over 12+ years of relevant work experience,
Experience working in a Services organization in a consulting capacity is strongly preferred. Experience working on multi-phase global implementations is preferred.
Having Microsoft Certifications (M365, Azure, SharePoint, .Net) is a plus.
