Examples of infrastructure include, but are not limited to large-scale server complexes, multi-terabyte DBs, and developing/supporting enterprise class management and monitoring tools. Position’s focus on building, deploying and stabilizing code, services, systems, tools; driving standardization and service focused instrumentation, resolving break/fix scenarios, engaging broader teams as necessaryDetermines and pursues course of action necessary to achieve results. You will be participating in multi-disciplined teams that will lead the standards for different technologiesRequired to interact and work closely with vendors, business users and application development groups. Core Requirements:Maintain and follow database policies, standards and overall documentation including availability, replication, availability, and backup & recovery policy, service level agreement, change management, access to production.Required Engineer to work on solutions which requires interaction with other engineering teams like Storage, Systems, Platforms, Networks and Backup & Recovery Identify opportunities to enhance existing database systems and infrastructure. Required to work on a shift rotation and work after hours including weekends. Required Skills & Experience:Good oral & written communication skillsWillingness and aptitude to learn and deploy new technologiesHands-on Experience in the following areas:SQL, PL/SQL Oracle RDBMS 12c and 19c Oracle RAC, ClusterwareOEM Cloud ControlAvailability: Oracle Active Data GuardReplication services: Golden Gate(core understanding)Backup and Recovery – Rman, NetBackupKnowledge in at least 1 non-oracle like MySQL/NoSQL/cloud native DB technologies (MongoDB, Couchbase, Cassandra etc) AdministrationDesired Skills & Experience Strong organizational and problems solving skills Knowledge and experience with relational DBMS Concepts, design, architecture, Operations and Systems. Knowledge of and hands on experience to include, installation, performance tuning, database monitoring, database backup/recovery, capacity management, high availability and replication.Excellent communication skillsHighly driven, highly involved, highly proactiveRegular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
