Our Global Service Centers (GSCs) are strategically positioned in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad to support the firmâ€TMs operations regionally and globally. The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions. Process Description Verification of reviewing and validating IRS Forms, Tax documents & IDs. Certification of accounts subject to Federal Income tax withholding. Validation of various regulatory documents submitted by the Customers. Ensure that all Customer requests are completed timely by adhering to procedures and guidelines. Ensure in performing due diligence of all required processing steps and check parameters defined in the process. Apply knowledge to identify opportunities and to understand issues, determine solutions and resolve Roles & Responsibilities As a Tax Operations Analyst - Team Lead, the individual's work would involve, but not be limited to, the following: Accurately process requests for customerâ€TMs tax profile on various client systems Modify customer information based on daily maintenance requests (address, tax identification number) Verify that corrections and modifications in data are fed to various systems Monitor queues, mailboxes and databases to ensure all items are cleared in a timely manner Maintain procedure documents and help drive control-centric environment Assist with training documents and training staff on new and revised processes Actively participate in projects and meetings Implement a control function platform Liaise with cross line of business partners to achieve business result driven improvements/ system enhancements with emphasis on strategic end state and controls Escalation point for team and some cross department issues, where subject matter expertise required Management of small staff, assessing each work allocation and area's of capacity to identify bottlenecks and process efficiencies Promote a strong control culture throughout the team Strong client focus and relationship-building skills across lines of business and levels Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment · Responsible for accuracy and timely completion of the Tax Certification process within the stipulated window. · Responsible for decision making about the handling of various types of scenarios critical for the business. · Focus on performance to meet expected levels in terms of daily quantity and quality standards of work. · Comply with set guidelines, procedures, rules and regulations; work as a team to achieve SLAâ€TMs for the process and individual targets, · Work towards process improvement activities. Skills Required Bachelorâ€TMs or Masterâ€TMs degree or equivalent experience required Overall experience of 6+ years and relevant experience of 2+ years Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, coach and motivate teams · Strong People Management skills with an ability to drive and motivate the team The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment. Knowledge of Investment Bank businesses would be an advantage · Has basic knowledge of US Tax forms - W8 and W9 · Knowledge of US and non-US Regulations (including Tax) a plus. Additional qualifications: Strong knowledge of bank control policies and standards Effective time management skills Controls & Risk management aptitude Excellent communication skills(written and verbal in a clear/concise manner) Experience in process improvement and process mapping Ability to collaborate, partner and work in a team environment Demonstrated ability to positively interface with other departments, colleagues and senior management Excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) Attention to detail and ability to work independently Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan Flexible to work overtime and on holidays Proactive approach to client and operational support Ability to listen/read and absorb information being shared for future use Ability to communicate effectively with peers (clients, operations, management, etc.) Hours of Work / Shift Timings in India - Employees should be comfortable enough to work on all the shifts around the clock (Mon-Fri). Work shifts will include working as per US calendar and holidays & as per overall policies.Â
