Job Description:
Main Job accountabilities
Must Have
- Works closely with leadership to develop and implement sourcing strategies and commodity management for direct materials and chemicals used in the production of chemicals, polymers and polymer compounds.
- Direct materials, polymers/resins (i.e. nylon, polystyrene, ABS, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polyetheylne, rubber, pigments, polymer additives Support and lead strategic sourcing for assigned category portfolios
- Monitoring global price trends, negotiating spot prices, coordinating material approvals with R&D and manufacturing, updating material master data, supplier communications, coordinating RFQs (in Ariba), addressing supply shortages, value calculations and reporting

- Develop and maintain supplier profiles
- Hands on experience on Spend analysis
- Implementation on trend chard for category
- Drive Strategic initiative for category Structure
- Develop and implement cost reduction opportunities and value creation
- Negotiate commercial terms (price, quantities, terms & conditions)
- Make recommendations for supplier selection through RFP & evaluation process
- Create and maintain Outline Agreements in SAP system
- Evaluate alternative sources and develop suppliers
- Obtain or support the completion or contract documents
- Obtain necessary regulatory and other compliance documents
- Coordinate with site raw material planner to provide periodic demand forecasts
- Provide analysis & strategy for competitive procurement, research, sourcing, risk mitigation, and contract management
Required knowledge, competencies, skills & experience
- Post Graduate / Graduate in Engineering (Chemical, Production, Industrial, Mechanical), Business Administration, International Trade or Supply Chain
- Global related-industry experience at least 5 to 10 years relevant experience
- Experience in operations, supplier relationship management, RFQ/RFP, negotiations
- Preferred - proficient in SAP and ARIBA
- Knowledge about country specific contracting laws
- Result-oriented, willing to challenge the status quo
- Strong organization, planning and project management skills
- Global teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
- Advanced analytical skills and use of MS Excel
- Familiar with Excel formulas, pivot tables and charts to support complex spend analysis, cost modeling, value calculations, and price tracking
- Chemical and polyolefin industry background is preferred, but not a requirement.
