    Technical Specialist

    Description

    Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge on Linux Platform, with various Operating System i.e.: RHEL, CentOS, Debian,
  • Manages and maintains Oracle OVM, VMWare, and RHEL on x86 platforms.
  • Should have hands-on experience with LVM,DNS configuration
  • Knowledge on AIX, added an advantage.
  • Able to resolve the system-related issues, able to provide RCA.
  • Responsible for Linux patch management.
  • Responsible for managing User / Group Administration, Sudo access
  • Responsible to create file systems, disk partitioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to troubleshoot and resolve complex systems hardware and software problems.
  • Need to communicate with vendors on any sort of unresolved issues such as hardware failures, related to newly released updates
  • Responsible to analyze and diagnose system failures recover and restore operating systems and file systems
  • Responsible to monitor system availability, load, and system capacity
  • knowledge on Shell scripting added advantage
  • Knowledge on Backup restoration.
  • Strong verbal communication skills

    • Job Responsibilities:

  • Be willing to work in night shifts on a rotational basis
  • Knowledge on the ticketing tools and should be aware about the ITIL Process.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure Team, Applications Team, Provisioning Team and different stakeholders
  • Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and ability to set the right expectations
  • Able to manage/prioritize work, meet deadline with attentions to details & quality.
  • Should be team player, mentor junior engineers to help the team learn and grow
  • Responsible for performing deep incident analysis, RCAs, post incident reports.
  • Identify & recommend system improvements & apply industry best practices.

    • Works with e.g. implementing, testing and documenting technical platform solution according to given specifications.
    Solves 2nd level problems.
    Provides technical guidance to support the sales organisation and customers in the sales phase.
    Keeps updated on the development of the offered services/products.
    Performs well defined tasks, e.g. designing, testing, and documenting hardware components according to given specifications.
    Able to understand customer needs through requirements. Recommends solutions within own disciplines.
