    Job Description:

    We are seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer that shares our passion and excitement for improving operational inefficiency of all parts of the system from on-prem to cloud native solutions.

    You will be on the ground floor of our evolving DevOps culture, working closely with both the Software Development Engineers and other SREs aligned more closely to specific clients. You will be responsible for, and lead efforts in, improving our overall operational posture with a focus on the addition of monitoring and telemetry with the aim of reducing incidents. You will own and improve metrics, KPIs, SLOs, and a visualization of this information. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers.

    The initial focus will be in improving the availability, latency, performance, efficient, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of report generation and printing for the Oracle Health Millennium Electronic Medical Record. The ideal client has experience both with the Oracle Health Millennium Platform, Windows, and Unix print management systems.

    Millennium Platform Services is responsible for a diverse set of services that are central to the Oracle Health Millennium Electronic Medical Record. MPS Engineering is responsible for R&D and building the next generation of health care platform evolving from on-prem to cloud native services. These services provide critical functions ranging from lab results and documents to generating and printing a legal medical record document.   • You have solid communication skills.

  • You have built tooling to improve reliability of systems, automated remediation of issues, and improving scalability of platforms and systems.
  • You work well with everyone. You can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity. You have a strong sense of ownership and are able to drive development of new projects and features to completion.
  • You are comfortable working at all levels of the stack
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

    5+ years of experience in software engineering practice and IT operations tasks.

    5+ years experience working with Oracle Health Millennium Platform

    Strong problem-solving skills.

    Strong understanding of databases, Linux systems, and print management systems.
