Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product development strategy aligned with the company's business goals and market demands.
Plan and prioritize product development initiatives to meet the needs of the lab-grown diamond jewellery market.
Conduct extensive market research to identify consumer preferences, emerging trends, and competitive offerings in the lab-grown diamond industry.
Utilize consumer insights to inform product development decisions.
Collaborate with jewellery designers, CAD designers, and trend analysts to conceptualize innovative lab-grown diamond jewellery designs.
Provide creative direction and input to design teams for the development of new collections.
Oversee the development of physical prototypes, ensuring they align with design specifications and quality standards.
Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks on prototypes to ensure they meet established benchmarks.
Source and select appropriate materials for lab-grown diamond jewellery, considering factors such as ethical sourcing, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient sourcing of materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
Develop and manage the product development budget, allocating resources efficiently to achieve product objectives.
Monitor and report on budget performance to ensure financial targets are met.
Plan and execute product launches, coordinating with marketing teams for effective promotion.
Manage the entire product lifecycle, including updates, discontinuations, and inventory management.
Keep abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and design trends within the lab-grown diamond and jewellery sector.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, preferably with export companies.
Extensive experience in the US and European markets is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Product Development, Jewellery Design, Business, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional project management abilities with a focus on meeting timelines and deliverables.
Creative thinking and a passion for staying at the forefront of design and innovation.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with sustainable and ethical practices in product development.
Candidates from outside India are welcome, with the position based in Surat.
