About the Role

As a junior WordPress developer for a B2B SaaS company, you'll likely be responsible for

building and maintaining the company's website and possibly developing custom plugins or

themes to enhance functionality.

Responsibilities:

1. WordPress Development:

➢ Building and maintaining WordPress sites using best practices in coding and security.

➢ Incorporating parallax scrolling, microinteractions, kinetic typography.

➢ Optimize website for maximum speed, scalability, performance and SEO factors.

➢ Cleanup unused CSS, javascripts.

➢ Migrate old wordpress UI blocks to new designs and purge old ones.

2. Customization: Customizing WordPress themes and plugins to meet the specific needs

of the company.

3. Integration: Integrating WordPress with other systems or platforms, such as CRM or

marketing automation tools.

4. Testing and Debugging: Testing sites for usability and fixing any bugs or issues that arise.

5. Collaboration: Working closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to

ensure the website meets business objectives.

6. Documentation: Documenting code and processes for future reference and team

members.

Skills Required:

• WordPress Development: Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
• PHP and MySQL: Proficiency in PHP programming and MySQL database management.
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript: Knowledge of front-end technologies to customize themes and enhance user experience.
• Responsive Design: Experience building responsive websites that work well across different devices and screen sizes.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing code changes.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions efficiently.
• Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• SEO Basics: Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for optimizing WordPress websites.
• Security Awareness: Awareness of common security vulnerabilities in WordPress and how to mitigate them.
• Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest WordPress developments and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 3 to 4 years of

development experience with WordPress.
