Ocean Capacity Optimization Specialist - Team Lead

Job Roles & Responsibilities:
The person's primary task is to maximize the revenue yield from current business by managing the available allocations from ocean carriers.
To make sure origins always maximize utilization, the position must keep an eye on all agreed-upon carrier contracts for enforceable and non-enforceable allocations.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity across the Ocean operational functions (including supervisor level), for example by systematically applying Business Allocation methods and tools.
Capability to work with and contribute to a strong SOP driven operational execution of end-to-end ocean freight control tower operations.
Understanding the Buyer Consolidation Process (CFS) and overseeing the information flow and operational execution of the ocean freight stuffing/milestone tracking from CFS operations;
Being familiar with the booking process and managing with freight forwarders (NVOCC), sea carriers, CFS operators, transporters, and customs brokers for the shipment execution.
Document control:
prompt document gathering and verification in accordance with the established control points.
In order to ensure a seamless client experience, collaborate cross-functionally with other GEOs (origin and destination) on the assigned tasks.
Consult, align, and prioritize opportunities in conjunction with the operations head or global account manager.
Manage the effectiveness of processes and make sure that they are carried out with timely data collection and effective/efficient use of a variety of IT technologies to obtain business insight from this data.
Skills/QualificationsMust have at least 5-8 years' experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding managementStrong analytical and conceptual capabilitiesGood communication and leadership skills as the role requires frequent communication to various directions and all management levelsEfficient Problem Solving SkillsAllocation and tools knowledge and experience in their applicationGood ocean carriers' relationship and engagementResult & solution orientatedStrong presentation and communication skillsStrong negotiation skillsTertiary educationExcellent MS Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).Team player with the ability to work in a changing environment.
