    Job Title : Sr. Associate Manager - Evonik Skin Institute (ESI)

    Purpose of the Position:

  • The position will be responsible to design, plan and conduct biological and chemical laboratory tests
  • To develop new processes, maintenance of environmental standards, and other work involving experimental, theoretical, or practical application of biological sciences and related sciences.

    • Key Responsibilities:

  • To run multi-parametric biological screening of ingredients from internal and external customers.
  • Understanding molecular biological assays related to skin science and developing innovative assays
  • Capable of understanding the requirements of the cosmetic active and functional ingredients for proposing advanced screening assays
  • Participation on data report generation and analysis
  • Identify shortcomings in existing processes to improve existing processes and support new projects
  • Collect information to gain a better understanding of routine procedural queries.
  • Support others by carrying out a range of product development and biological testing based on analyzing product positioning and customer requests.
  • Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional enquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
  • Design own monthly schedule to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.
  • Implement and coordinate laboratory results in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
  • To conduct experiments safely and follow good lab practices including proper documentation status, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

    • REQUIREMENTS

  • B. Tech /M. Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Genetics with minimum 5 years of experience in biological assays, cell culture techniques and skin biology.
  • Previous experience in screening of functional & active ingredients for personal care industry is preferred.
  • Good awareness and understanding on regulatory standards for the biological labs.
