    Overview:

    In this role the Principal Engineer (Electronic Systems, Advanced Structures) actively participate in NPI, redesign and sustenance activities of electronics used for Actuator applications.

    Position: Principal Engineer (P4)

    Primary Responsibilities: Safety

  • Requirements Management including System level requirements definition from Customer requirements.
  • Interpret Customer requirements and translation into System level requirement, Architecture, Detailed Design and low-level requirements.
  • Perform Safety assessment process in accordance with ARP4761/ Mil-STD882, MIL Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis (FTAs), Common Mode Analyses (CMAs), FMEA and DFMEA
  • Serve as a systems safety architect and customer interface to capture, analyze, decompose, translate and create requirements for large complex systems and demonstrate safety compliance.
  • System requirement validation and simulation
  • Hands on with System Requirements review process and Review of next level flow down requirements for Top-down trace.
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams such as project engineering, software engineering, electrical design, reliability
  • Familiar with safety analysis tools
  • Familiarity with System Engineering Tools (DOORs, Polarion, Matlab/Simulink, etc.)
  • System level Verification and Integration testing.
  • Estimate effort and specify schedules for safety analysis activities.
  • Collaboration with cross functional teams like Systems, Electronics, Software, Firmware, Program, Mechanical, Test, etc.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • 11 to 13 years of Industry experience with experience in Systems/Electronics product development
  • BE/B-tech/MTech in Electronics/electrical discipline
  • Significant knowledge of ARP4761/ ARP4754
  • Familiarity with RTCA DO-178, 254 & 160 Certification standards.
  • Hands on experience with safety analysis for requirements, system architecture
  • Familiar working in lab environment using oscilloscopes, in circuit emulators
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capability.
  • Experience in leading team.
