    Project Overview:

    The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest quality standards within their team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. They will spearhead quality assurance efforts, ensuring seamless collaboration across various functional teams.

    The profile demands knowledge in test automation for both front-end and back-end skills, where one will be defining the most suitable test strategy across both categories of applications.

    A strong understanding of back-end architectures (REST API validations, mocking mechanisms, event-driven architectures in a micro-service ecosystem, and asynchronous processing) is highly desired.

    Daily activities will consist of assuring deliveries from Java back-end developers and Typescript front-end developers in a manual and automated manner.

    Responsibilities:

    As our Expert Quality Assurance Engineer, you will own the design and development of all aspects of testing. You will work on acceptance criteria and test scenarios with the Product Owner and development team.

    You will design, execute, and maintain test scenarios and automation capabilities for all test levels and types (e.g., automated, regression, exploratory, etc.).

    You will create and optimise test frameworks and integrate them into deployment pipelines.

    You will participate in the code review process for both production and test code to ensure all critical cases are covered.

    You will monitor test runs, application errors and performance.

    You will make information flow, keeping the team informed and being a stakeholder in releases and defect tracking.

    You will share best testing and quality practices and processes across Zooplus.

    You will promote and coach the team towards a quality-focused mindset.

    You will influence and lead the team towards continuous improvement and best testing practices.

    You will serve as the reference of the QA Center of Practice, promoting their practices and influencing their strategy, bringing your team experience into their plan.

    Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will drive the implementation of new features and enhancements, ultimately enhancing the experience for over 9 million customers.

    Requirements:

    To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

    You must be able to effectively communicate in English.

    You must be able to work in an autonomous, self-responsible and self-organised way.

    You should have at least 6 years of experience in software testing, manual and automated.

    You should have knowledge of software testing theory.

    You should be comfortable developing test automation frameworks from scratch and maintaining existing frameworks.

    You should have strong experience working with modern test automation frameworks and tools (such as Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Allure).

    You should have strong experience in different testing practices (from unit to E2E, functional and non-functional) specifically integrated within CI/CD.

    You should have strong knowledge of Java development for tests.

    You should have understanding of OOP concepts.

    You should have experience working with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity, Kibana, Grafana, etc.).

    You should have knowledge of API testing and REST APIs.

    You should be familiar with cloud-native solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).

    You should have knowledge in multiple platform concepts (Micro-services, Event-driven Architecture).

    You should have knowledge with Bitbucket, K8s, Docker.

    Nice to have:

    Good experience in SQL and relational database concepts.

    Experience writing clean code in different programming languages (Java, Python, Kotlin, JavaScript TypeScript).

    Experience with Behaviour-driven Development

    Experience with APP test automation tools.
