    Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are currently focused on the development of our innovative "Connect" platform. This platform serves as a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure, catering to our worldwide clientele who rely on NielsenIQ's data and insights for their business growth and innovation.

    Joining us as a Senior Engineer means becoming part of a team of brilliant and highly skilled technologists who are enthusiastic about learning and exploring cutting-edge technologies. Our current platform is Java-based, leveraging Spring Boot, with a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) approach. We are dedicated to embracing the latest cloud-native technologies for low-latency solutions. Our agile team is spread across key technology hubs in Chicago, Madrid, Toronto, and Chennai.



      Responsibilities:
    • Write intricate, maintainable code to build scalable, flexible, user-friendly applications using Java, Spring Boot, and front-end technologies with Java services.
    • Identify and craft reusable UI components that cater to the requirements of multiple applications.
    • Design and implement highly available, low-latency, cloud-native applications.
    • Engage in the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the cloud-based Big Data Solution – from conceptualization to deployment.

    Qualifications:

    • 5 or more years of relevant software engineering experience.
    • Strong background in back-end and front-end object-oriented programming, showcasing proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
    • Knowledge of integrating Restful APIs and a grasp of microservices architecture.
    • Proficient in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
    • Excellent English communication skills for effective collaboration between cross-functional technology teams and business units.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Spark framework using Scala or Python is beneficial.
