You will be working as Digital Solution Architect at global grade 11 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Automation Digital division based in Bangalore/Mumbai, India. In this role you will be reporting to Principal Software Architect and will be responsible for serving as a technology expert with strategic focus on both functional and non-functional requirements to define and deliver the architecture of software platforms, applications and solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Managing technical architecture analysis, research and integration with a repository of component, services and runtime libraries developed within the Process Automation Digital COE's ABB AbilityTM Genix Industrial Analytics and AI/ML ecosystem
• Evaluating business requirements and come up with solution architecture that provide an integrated approach for solution deployment
• Engaging with various stakeholders to identify and validating requirements and translating to solution design
• Ensuring technical integrity of solutions across various deployments, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged and that work is not duplicated
• Performing solution architecture and infrastructure design activities
• Acting as solution architect to strategic sales or pre-sales pursuits and services projects, providing guidance through the complexity of solution architecture options and the long-term roadmap for the solution

Your background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any related field
• Minimum 14 to 20 year of relevant experience in solution architecture experience with a good understanding of the PaaS, SaaS and on-premise environments along with .Net core, Angular and Azure
• In-depth knowledge of various cloud services, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure. Experience in creating solution architecture that identifies the required runtime components and services for deploying applications, data integration solutions and APIs
• Hands-on experience in software platforms, cloud and runtime architecture. E2E implementation experience of solutions for Web, Native Mobile and Hybrid applications in public cloud, private cloud and on-premise' infrastructure
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business goals. Knowledge of IoT solutions and protocols, data integration patterns, contemporary web application and API design principles and microservices architecture is essential
• Proficiency in deploying high availability, failover and disaster recovery strategies. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and familiarity with diverse operating systems, databases, and programming languages, including C#, Python, and proficiency in UI tools such as Angular/React
• Ability to assess and manage/notify technical risks and issues. Understanding of networking principles in cloud and on-premise environment. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools
