    International Programs has built a state-of-the-art platform that brings together Broker, Carriers and Insureds to deliver sophisticated International Insurance solutions. The platform aims to streamline processes, reduce friction, gain efficiencies and create transparency in the exchange of information and connect different market players in an industry which today is mostly handled via emails and documents.

    We are hiring a Product Owner to oversee the customer portal and self-service journeys. We look forward to a self-motivated, passionate and creative mind who can gel with our highly enthusiastic development team.

    The Opportunity

    As a Junior Product Owner within the International Programs department, you will be fundamental to the further successful development of the products, including the definition of a product vision and the managing of development teams to execute and build towards this vision. You will be the key point of contact for your area of the product towards internal stakeholders but also represent the product towards a growing number of external customers.

    Working closely across many internal departments and external partners, you will be responsible for the successful rollout and enhancement of the products we provide our customers. In our highly dynamic "start-up-like" culture there is an abundance of opportunities, but also demands, to diversify the scope of your role and work on different topics such as legal, compliance, sales and proposition management. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your insurance domain knowledge as well as your technical and project management experience in a new and exciting way, to bring something different to the market and support us in our mission to reduce the inherent friction in the delivery of International Programs.

    Key Responsibilities

    Driving the vision

  • Work closely with SMEs to understand and capture Business requirement and identify the scope for digital transformation.
  • Influencing operating model by leveraging group's innovative and cutting-edge digital tools
  • Continuous improvement of internal processes
  • Lead in Technology & Delivery

  • Work on release planning to prioritize the features to meet the quarterly and yearly targets.
  • Maximize the business value of the products and be accountable for successful delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining a prioritized Product Backlog
  • Clearly communicating priorities, sprint goals and acceptance criteria to the agile team
  • Work on user story conception to facilitate clear communication of requirements to the agile team by communicating priorities, sprint goals and acceptance criteria to the agile team
  • Provide input during the Agile ceremonies - sprint planning, review, retrospective demos, refinement sessions
  • Inspect the product progress at the end of every Sprint and accept or reject work done
  • Contribute to continuous improvement with business feedback/vision
  • Work with the production support team on incidents when and where required.
  • Work on UAT plans, including supporting the business in helping to define UAT test cases.
  • Participate in defect triage and prioritization, and addressing any requirements defects, changes or questions that come out of QA testing
  • Collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer or equivalent required
  • 5 years of Insurance industry work experience in projects/programs with significant change impact and multiple dependencies within and across organizational boundaries.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects successfully from inception to delivery through Agile methodology as a Product Owner with Good planning and forward-thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools, and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion
  • Strong stakeholder management ability in handling wide-ranging requests from senior stakeholders.
  • Capable in meeting tight schedules and deadlines
  • High attention to detail while maintaining clear customer expectations throughout the life cycle of a project/engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Open to global travel as required
