JOB DESCRIPTION:

Skill set: Mainframe

Experience : 2+ Years(Project Experience - Excluding Internship/Training)

ROLE & RESPONSIBILIES :

• Mainframe + PL SQL
• Experience in IAM and Certification in RAFC is a plus
• Open to work in Prod support and shifts
• Good Comm skills
• Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems (z/OS).
• Proven experience in programming languages like COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, JCL, and SQL. Experience with mainframe development tools like CICS, DB2, IMS, and VSAM.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to adapt to new technologies.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Application Development:

• Analyze, design, develop, and maintain new or modified applications on the IBM z/OS Mainframe platform.
• Implement new features and functionalities based on business requirements.
• Write efficient and maintainable code in relevant programming languages like COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, JCL, and SQL.
• Application Maintenance:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing mainframe applications.
• Apply code fixes and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and stability.
• Conduct regular maintenance tasks to keep applications up-to-date and secure.
• Testing and Deployment:
• Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests for new and updated applications.
• Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing.
• Prepare and deploy applications to production environments with minimal disruption.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Document code and technical specifications clearly and concisely.
• Provide technical support to other team members and end users.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest mainframe technologies and trends.
