    Description

    Summary:

    The Finance Manager GBS oversees financial accounting, financial planning, and analysis (FP&A), tax compliance, treasury processes, and process enhancement for international operating companies, primarily in the United States and other regions. This role involves collaborating closely with local management and business to establish the necessary framework and team to actively support ongoing business requirements in alignment with the Company's strategy and culture.

    Heading the Finance function within our Global Business Services in Gurugram office requires extensive experience in finance leadership positions and a profound understanding of shared services operations. The ideal candidate should possess strategic thinking, robust leadership abilities, and effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise finance teams in the Global Business Service, guiding them to accomplish departmental objectives. This role manages a team of 10+ finance professionals with approximately 4-6 direct reports, and the headcount is expected to increase significantly in the next 6-18 months.
    • Evaluate the current shared services team to strategically enhance organization and workflow.
    • Enhance shared service performance by developing individuals and processes focused on operational discipline and business partnership.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and compliance through effective communication and by leading the collaborative development of service level agreements.
    • Collaborate with local management, global finance functions, and stakeholders to gather and provide necessary information.
    • Supervise financial accounting processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
    • Manage and review key outputs to ensure quality, including bank and account reconciliations, cash forecasts, and balance sheet reports.
    • Drive financial planning and analysis activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Implement strategies to optimize working capital management, cash flow, and liquidity.
    • Manage tax planning and compliance activities to ensure adherence to local regulations and maximize tax efficiencies.
    • Oversee treasury support activities, including cash and risk management, and investment strategies.
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure policy compliance.
    • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives in the Finance function, leveraging technology and automation wherever feasible.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and shared services operations.

    Essential Functions of the Role:

    • Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, S4/Hana, and BCP (preferable)
    • Previous experience with US companies and US GAAP accounting requirements
    • Experience in tax accounting
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Tools including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
    • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
    • Ability to multitask and work within tight timelines

    Work Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in finance leadership roles, particularly in a shared services environment
    • Over 15 years experience in managing multinational client-service oriented finance functions, with expertise in project management, strategic thinking, and financial budgets.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
    • Desirable Master's degree in Business

    Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

    • Experience in executing projects in shared services and outsourcing
    • Proficiency in U.S. tax compliance and provision software (OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision preferable)
    • Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems (GTreasury preferable)
    • Proficiency in process automation and visualization tools (PowerQuery, Alteryx, PowerBI preferable)
    • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including strategic planning execution
    • In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax planning and compliance
    • Proficiency in treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and risk management
    • Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team
    • Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Effective communicator influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels
    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, SAP or Oracle experience considered beneficial
