Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching & Learning:
• Teach Science (Grades VI to X) using innovative and experiential learning approaches.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with NEP 2020, focusing on conceptual understanding, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary connections.
• Incorporate storytelling, real-life applications, hands-on experiments, project-based learning, and technology integration into the teaching process.
• Encourage scientific thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity through engaging classroom activities.
• Assessment & Student Support:
• Use competency-based assessments and formative assessments to track student progress.
• Provide remedial teaching and personalized learning plans for students who need additional academic support.
• Encourage students to participate in science fairs, Olympiads, and research projects.
• Classroom & Hostel Environment:
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that caters to first-generation learners.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit students with diverse learning abilities and backgrounds.
• Play an active role in students' residential life, mentoring them beyond academics to build their social-emotional skills, self-discipline, and leadership qualities.
• Collaboration & Professional Development:
• Work closely with other subject teachers to integrate Science with Mathematics, Social Science, and Language learning.
• Stay updated on the latest educational practices, EdTech tools, and teaching methodologies.
• Participate in workshops, training programs, and NEP 2020 implementation strategies.
• Other Responsibilities:
• Engage with the local community and encourage experiential learning through field trips, environmental projects, and hands-on science activities.
• Maintain proper records of student progress and assessments as per school policies.
• Contribute to the overall growth and well-being of students in a residential setting, ensuring a positive learning experience.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry, or a related field, along with B.Ed.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience, preferably with underprivileged students or in a residential school setup.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of NEP 2020, competency-based education, and experiential learning.
• Ability to teach using interactive and hands-on learning strategies.
• Passionate about mentoring first-generation learners and supporting their holistic development.
• Proficiency in basic EdTech tools, digital classrooms, and blended learning methods.
• Strong communication skills in English and Hindi/Marathi to connect effectively with students.
• Empathetic, patient, and adaptable to the needs of a residential school environment.
