Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Head to lead our Quality Assurance Department.
This role requires a deep understanding of quality management in the sheet metal stamping industry and familiarity with the quality standards and audit requirements of major customers like Maruti Suzuki, Hero, and Honda.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in quality management, with extensive experience in maintaining high standards for major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
Prepare for and lead customer quality audits, ensuring compliance with the requirements of major clients like Maruti Suzuki, Hero, and Honda.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address and resolve quality issues promptly.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.
Manage and mentor the Quality Assurance team, fostering a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
Collaborate with suppliers to maintain high-quality standards for incoming materials, conducting supplier audits and improvement plans.
Interface with customers to understand and meet their quality requirements, handling complaints efficiently and ensuring timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, preparing and presenting quality reports to senior management.
Develop and manage the Quality Assurance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in quality management within the sheet metal stamping industry, particularly with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies.
Familiarity with quality standards and audit requirements of major customers like Maruti Suzuki, Hero, and Honda.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
Experience with quality management software and tools.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or certifications like Six Sigma are a plus.
