About the internship:
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Working on an R&D project which involves the development of fixed-wing unmanned aircraft prototypes for military use.
2. Working on the fabrication of small prototype UAVs. For this, you will use processes like laser cutting, 3d printing, CNC hot-wire, machining, composite molding, etc.
3. Working on the design of some components in CAD for which basic CAD skills are required.
4. Working on component integration into the airframe, programming, and testing of components.
5. Working on Autopilot software, telemetry, and ground control station software for programming and operation of UAVs.
6. Involving in UAV test flights and will learn UAV operations.
Requirements:
1. The project location is at an IAF Airbase and you will be working under an IAF officer with over 18 years experience in manned and unmanned aviation.
2. You will be provided with a place to stay and hygienic meals.
3. You will also be groomed on personality development.

1. UAVs/Drones are a rapidly developing field with immense possibilities.
2. The Aeronautical students from most Pvt colleges lack the desired practical experience (limited job market in India compared to students passing out means the students with experience have an edge over the rest in getting a job in a core field).
3. This internship will give you hands-on experience that will help you get a job in the UAV field.
