    We are recruiting an Agronomist/agricultural engineer for our client operating in the agricultural sector in Boké, Guinea, .This role is to the success of the Boké Project, focusing on rice farming expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in rice farming and a proven ability to deliver results at scale. They will oversee diverse rice seed initiatives, ensuring operational excellence guided by key performance indicators.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Collaborating closely with a fellow specialist to manage all agricultural operations meticulously, with a focus on enhancing production processes.
    • Planning and executing agricultural campaign schedules, ensuring alignment of human and material resources with project requirements.
    • Efficiently managing agricultural teams, ensuring seamless operation and optimal organization of machinery and equipment.
    • Achieving a minimum profitability of 90% on projected tonnage by seed suppliers.
    • Dedication of 100% time and effort to the project, maintaining a commitment to fair practices and avoiding unfair competition.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Extensive hands-on experience in large-scale rice cultivation and farm management, demonstrating a proven track record of success in the field.
    • Practical knowledge of modern agricultural techniques, rice plant pathology, and innovative farming practices that enhance yield and sustainability.
    • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing diverse agricultural teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Skilled in the use of agricultural technology, including precision farming tools, to monitor crop health and optimize resource use.
    • Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs and the resilience to manage the demands of seasonal agricultural cycles.
    • Experience in seed selection, soil analysis, irrigation management, and implementing pest and disease control strategies.
