    Position - Retail Planner

    Role:

    Retail planners create business strategies to maximize sales at retail stores by analyzing sales data and forecasting trends.

    They work towards converting inventory to sales in the least possible time, ensuring each product line meets its targets across stores.

    The role requires developing product and pricing strategies based on business projections, buy plans, and OTB (Open-To-Buy) plans.

    Retail planners also analyze actual sales, monitor progress, and establish current and future trends. They assign base stock, category-wise for each store, based on past trends, and ensure each category is adequately represented at each store at all times.

    In addition, they assess present and future material availability through market and delivery system analysis, liaise with buyers, store teams, and logistics to meet sales targets, and generate and analyze inventory and sales reports.

    Key responsibilities include providing feedback on inventory health, circulating periodic reports, and building incentive plans for store teams.

    Desired skills include good analytical skills, ability to respond to market changes, forecasting skills, strong budgetary controls, good networking skills, and brand appreciation.

    A minimum of 7 years of experience handling single or multiple stores in the premium-luxury segment is required, along with strong business understanding and flair for fashion retailing.

    Effective communication and influencing buying decisions are essential for success in this role.
