- Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive strategy for backup and recovery solutions that spans both the core platform and Capella DBaaS.
- Product Planning and Roadmap: Define and prioritize features and enhancements for backup and recovery capabilities based on market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis. Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap that addresses the needs of both core platform users and Capella customers.
- Feature Definition: Work closely with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Drive product messaging, positioning, and enablement activities to support successful product launches and adoption.
- Customer Engagement: Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product requirements.
- Platform Integration: Collaborate with the Capella team to ensure seamless integration of backup and recovery capabilities into the DBaaS platform. Work closely with platform architects and developers to leverage cloud-native technologies and best practices for data protection and disaster recovery.
- 7+ years experience as a product manager or similar role, in the Enterprise Data Protection industry.
- Hands-on-experience and understanding of backup and recovery technologies, including both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with database systems, either relational systems or NoSQL.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to produce clear, crisp product specifications.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Experience with distributed systems such as NoSQL databases, or messaging/streaming systems like kafka.
