We are recruiting for the position of Head of Plant Operations with one of our prominent multinational clients in the Chemical industry, based in Pune. Please see the job description below:

Role: Head of Operations

Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and supply chain activities across the business.

Act as the Factory Manager according to the Factories Act, 1948, for the Pune Site.

Ensure strict adherence to the delegation of authority from the Managing Director, particularly in areas concerning safety, personnel (within the scope), licensing, environmental regulations, and other compliance matters.

Supervise all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control, with the aim of enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall productivity.

Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and oversee their successful execution from initiation to completion.

Provide leadership to the manufacturing and supply chain departments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, value addition, and cost reduction.

Uphold overall EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards across all sites.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, along with a Management course/degree in Operations.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations, including significant experience in a leadership role overseeing multiple plants.

Proficiency in Supply Chain Management.

Preferred experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
