Overview:

The role ofan Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operator is crucial to theorganizations environmental sustainability efforts. ETP Operatorsplay a key role in ensuring the proper functioning of the ETP andcompliance with environmental regulations. They are responsible forthe operation and maintenance of equipment to treat industrialwastewater before it is released back into theenvironment.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Monitor and controlETP processes to ensure efficient treatment ofwastewater
• Perform regular checks and tests onthe ETP systems to maintain optimalperformance
• Conduct chemical handling anddosing to facilitate effective wastewatertreatment
• Operate and maintain equipment suchas pumps blowers and filters
• Respond to alarmsand take appropriate actions during ETP processupsets
• Record and maintain accurate logs ofoperational data and process parameters
• Adhereto safety guidelines and maintain a clean workingenvironment
• Collaborate with the maintenanceteam for preventive and breakdownmaintenance
• Participate in environmentalcompliance inspections and audits
• Implementcorrective actions to address any noncomplianceissues

RequiredQualifications:

• High school diplomaor equivalent
• Proven experience in ETPoperations or similar role
• Knowledge ofwastewater treatment processes and chemicalhandling
• Ability to interpret and analyzeoperational data and trends
• Familiarity withequipment maintenance andtroubleshooting
• Understanding of environmentalregulations and compliance requirements
• Strongattention to detail and commitment to safetyprotocols
• Good communication skills forteamwork and reporting
• Physical fitness andability to work in a demanding industrialenvironment
• Willingness to work in shifts andrespond to emergencysituations
