    About TODThought Over Design is a brand strategy & design studio based out of Bombay, India.
    We're a small team (20 people) of creative people on a mission to build brands withpurpose.


    What we're looking forWe're looking for an intelligent, driven and passionate Business Development Leadwho can help us effectively assess and convert business leads into projects and longterm client relationships.

    The BD Lead will ensure that we are building enduringrelationships with a like-minded fraternity of clients and partners. Everything fromassessment of lead to conversion into a project contract will be owned and driven byyou.


    The opportunityYou will have the opportunity to speak to and build relationships with some of thecoolest up & coming brands in the country as well as established businesses whoseek to level up their brand.

    This means you get a front row seat to what's happeningin India with consumer brands across multiple sectors and industries.

    Responsibilities


    • Lead Funnel: Create a lead funnel for TOD - from inquiry, evaluation,monitoring to closure. We actively receive various leads for different channels -email, linkedin, whatsapp messages, calls, instagram DMs - we need toconsolidate and address all leads with equal attention. All communication withpotential clients will be under your purview. Ensuring all leads are respondedto during the process of the conversation.
    • Representing the studio: A very important aspect of the role is to pitch thestudio to clients with a full background on who we are, our past experience,our services and what we're really good at. This role requires you to championtalking about the studio, being well versed with our past projects and an abilityto present these to clients as required.
    • Qualifying Leads: Since we receive a large number of leads, these need to bequickly responded to, addressed and a process is to be established to respondto the leads and ask the right questions to qualify them further. We believethis process can become way more efficient and are looking to have someonecome in and improve it.
    • Understanding the client: Taking the effort to get to know the client and theirobjectives, and having the ability to customize our approach & working team,based on each client's unique requirement.
    • Proposal Development: Estimate creation and proposal development is acritical part of the role. These typically require you to understand the projectrequirement, create a scope of work fleshed out with timelines, rates andterms. We do have some of these formats in place but are looking for someoneto come in and improve the way we do this to make it much more efficient.
    • Contracts & Agreements: Once a client closes on a project, inputting the scopeof work into our contract formats and ensuring everything has been translatedinto the final agreement basis discussions very clearly. This includes creatingpayment terms, building out detailed scope of work annexures and ensuring allNDA's and contracts are in place before the project begins officially.
    • Quarterly & Yearly planning: Work with the founder and accounts team tocreate an ongoing report of business confirmed and business in the pipelinefrom clients.
    • Automating and Improving processes: We're looking for someone to come inand take charge of building a much robust process overall for how businessdevelopment is done. Whether it's improving the way we qualify leads to thesoftwares or dashboards we use to track them, we're keen for you to improveand make this far more efficient overall.
    • Outbound Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunitiesthrough proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building that fit theethos at TOD and match the kind of founders / brands we want to enable.
    • Tracking project progress & health: When a project closes - it is typicallyhanded over to the account management team for execution. It is importantfor you to keep track of project health and whether payment milestones arebeing met through the course of the assignment. Assessing new opportunitieswith the same client across the project lifecycle and helping with developingthat business would also be important.
    • Weekly &

    Quarterly Reporting:

    Prepare weekly & quarterly reports summarizingleads, building proposals for review and working closely with Anushka (ourfounder) on ensuring your approach is in sync with the studio ethos andprocesses.


    • Collaborate & leverage the team: Work closely with a few key team membersthat will get you the insight or information you need to respond to a lead.
    Delegate and ensure you are getting the inputs you need, whenever there is asurge in leads to be managed.

    Requirements
    • 6 years of work experience, minimum
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, orrelated field
    • Proven experience in business development or account management,preferably within the creative industry
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    ● Mumbai-based candidates only or open to moving to Mumbai full time

    We're open to those who may have run their own creative agency or business and arelooking for a change. An entrepreneurial spirit is a huge plus
