R & D Engineer- Mechanical Design

You will be working as R & D Engineer- Mechanical Design at global grade 14 and will be part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing to ABB's success with technology, software, product or system development. Identifying and implementing innovative solutions to relevant problems.

Your responsibilities

• Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in their own area of competence and embracing best practices
• Understanding the key drivers for ABB in their own business or technology area to make judgments and contributing to results
• Applying their own innovative or creative ideas to create value and proposing concrete follow-up and improvement activities or projects
• Understanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines and requirements including architectural and design constraints
• Contributing actively to the quality of ABB's offerings and improvements in their own area of responsibility
• Communicating and collaborating effectively on technical and general topics within other teams and management

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience in design and development of Medium Voltage Indoor Circuit Breakers is preferred
• Experience in PLM systems is required, Solid works, smart team or Windchill is preferred
• Experience of handling type testing in STL or similar laboratories
• Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E, Solidworks etc.,)
• Fluent spoken and written English
