    Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager- Insurance Investment Accounting

    Responsibilities:

    Team leadership and development:
    Lead training programs to enhance team knowledge of best practices in cash management. Mentor team members and stay updated on industry trends and changes.


    Strategic oversight of investment transactions:
    Lead the strategic planning and execution of investment transaction processes, including purchases, sales, and income recognition. Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.


    Portfolio reconciliation management:
    Oversee complex reconciliations of investment portfolios to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Develop strategies to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly, maintaining financial integrity.


    Advanced financial reporting:

    Direct the preparation and analysis of detailed reports on investment performance, providing insights into portfolio returns and supporting high-level strategic decision-making processes.


    Regulatory compliance and risk mitigation:
    Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements related to investment accounting. Design and implement strategies to minimize risks and prevent errors.


    Process innovation and optimization:
    Drive process innovation by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvements within the investment accounting function. Enhance efficiency and accuracy through cutting-edge solutions.


    Executive stakeholder communication:

    Facilitate effective communication with executive teams and external partners, such as asset managers and auditors, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues related to investment transactions.


    Data governance and integrity:
    Oversee the governance and maintenance of accurate records of investment transactions in accounting systems. Ensure data integrity and accessibility for advanced analysis and reporting purposes.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    .CA / CPA / M-Com / B-Com or Graduate in Finance
    .Relevant years of experience in managing F&A Insurance Investment processes
    .Experience in working with an insurance client is must


    Preferred Skill Set:
    .Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
    .Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
    .Experience with accounting software, like Oracle, Blackline, etc.
    .Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
    .Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
    .Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
    .Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
    .Strong time management skills
    .Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
